Introducing the Courses Structure
“Our Music& English course is carefully structured into different levels to best suit your child’s age and development. We have:
- Our Base Course for 4 to 5-year-olds: This is where the fun begins with foundational vocabulary and simple phrases.
- Our Intermediate Course for 5 to 6-year-olds: We build on the basics, introducing more complex language and musical concepts.
- And our Advanced Course for children aged 7 and up: This level further develops their English skills and musical understanding.”
Benefits
Across all these levels, the core structure and our underlying philosophy remain the same. I focus on several key elements:
First, the Magic of Songs! My English songs are specially created by musicians and educators. They’re catchy, engaging, and designed to help children memorize their first English words, basic phrases, and even some musical terms. But it’s not just about the language; these songs also help children explore their emotions in a fun and supportive way.
Next, Movement and Motor Coordination are Key! I incorporate a lot of movement into my classes for three important reasons:
- It’s a fantastic way for children to release any built-up energy.
- It helps them develop their coordination skills.
- And most importantly, it allows them to learn new concepts and vocabulary through direct, hands-on experience. Learning becomes an active and playful adventure!
Now, I want to emphasize the Importance of the Teacher. While the songs are a wonderful tool, the teacher plays a crucial role. I will be there to support the children with the movements, ensuring they understand and participate fully. I also focus on clear lip movements, which significantly enhances their language learning.
Then, we Explore the World of Instruments! I introduce children to basic musical instruments in a way that’s both fun and educational. This helps develop their coordination further and provides a gentle introduction to musical notes. The instruments we use are carefully chosen – they look and feel like toys but produce high-quality sounds. I’ll even play songs together that are designed to train their ears and significantly improve their English pronunciation. This sound training is a fantastic way to help them pick up the nuances of the English language.
Goals
My goal with Music& English is to create a continuous learning journey. Over time, if your child shows a particular interest, I can gradually guide them towards focusing on a specific instrument. This isn’t about pushing them towards a professional music career, but rather about providing a rich personal and cultural experience that they can carry with them. It’s about enriching their lives and giving them a unique skill set. Later on, they can decide if they want to pursue instrumental learning further.
